A change in scenery can mean a change in plans. As a young college student, I had my eye on avenues other than real estate - but what I didn't know was that I would one day fall head-over-heels in love with Colorado, it's pristine mountains, and it's unique lifestyle. I grew up in Minnesota, spent my university years in State College, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. My first career was in the oil business, which is what originally brought me to Colorado in 1979. I worked for one of the Majors from 1976 to 1990; the last few years were tough ones, as the oil business took a downward turn, and companies sold their holdings and closed their doors. When my company relocated to the south and west, I had two choices: leave the business or leave the State. I chose to stay in my beloved Colorado, and have never regretted the decision.  |  | | | | |
 I started my new mountain life in 1990 and found real estate to be the perfect fit. I brought to the business well-honed computer skills and am not unnerved by constantly changing technology, which is critical in today's dynamic real estate market. I also enjoy the daily personal interaction with clients and business associates, and believe that everyone can have their mountain dream if we work diligently and realistically to make it happen. My husband, Don Gunnin, has joined me as my business manager. He has over two decades of experience in resort rental property management and brings to the table most everything you need to know about rental management. This allows me a unique perspective on the management business, and the understanding of purchasing investment property.
